48 hours in Rome, Italy

Is it possible to visit Rome in 48 hours?

Roma

YES…If you aren’t a museum person, 48 hours are enough, but if you are, not even an entire week is enough!

Rome is a pure concentrate of history and culture. The atmosphere that you will find in the old streets is breathtaking. Walking around Rome is magical because it has the power to transform you into a real Italian.. until you take your camera out to take a photo, breaking  this “Italian spell”, which it will faint away  remanding you that you are just a tourist.

How to get around in Rome

  • Metro in Rome is efficient
  • Touristic hop on hop off busses
  • Walking

I’ve decided to move by foot around the city. Walking is the best way to visit Rome. The streets will offer you unexpected feelings end secrets. The warm aroma of a pastry shop. The handmade leather of a local craftsman. The grandma hanging the clothes out the window and six-year-olds chasing each other across the cobblestones. Even if it doesn’t ever really change, Rome always has the power to surprise. This is why it is always worth going back there.

There is this old Italian say “All streets brings to Rome”. This might have been true during the Roman Empire but today the thing that brings you to Rome is the atmosphere that this city offers.
